Can't help you with the Hotel you asked about, but My wife and I stayed last year at the Pointers Hotel , 1 London Road, Canterbury, Kent CT28AX. Its a small older hotel just 2 blocks outside the walls
of the old city. We had a nice size room with bath for only 60 pounds.

Don't know your hotel, but we stayed at Slatters Hotel, in the very heart of Canterbury last year. It was very convenient (we had taken the train down), within walking of everything. There are lots of small charming restaurants in Canterbury--don't worry about that until you arrive, then as you're walking during the day, make a reservation for that evening if needed. It's a wonderful little city. Have a good time.

We had a delightful stay in Canterbury in May 1992.
It was truly charming and well worth the trip. The cathedral was magnificent. We stayed at a lovey B&B
at 4 London Rd. called the Courtney Guest House. I
just looked up my old receipt and it says we paid 34 lbs for a double. George and his wife prepared a
full English breakfast each morning. There was a shower and a sink in our bedroom, as I recall, but the toilet was across the hall outside our room. I'm sure that by now the rates have increased. It was very clean and well-cared for. The Brit. Tour.
Auth. booked us when we arrived in town that mid-afternoon and we walked to it. It was about a 6
or 7 block walk. You can go to any BTA desk in any
train station or bus station and they'll book the room for a fee of about 5 lbs. They are very good
choices, as I've found. Hope this will help.
Have a good trip.
