Can anyone recommend hotel in Antibes? I have been looking into Hotel Petit Castel but the $90 price tag is a little more than I would like to pay. <BR>If the hotel has a website, that would be very helpful

I stayed at Auberge Provencale a few years ago. It is inexpensive and a good value. I was traveling with a friend and it was inexpensive enough that we requested two rooms, large ones. This is a 400-year-old abbey. (I never did hear a story.) My room, which was huge, large enough for four people and then some, spooked me out. I was looking for someplace with character, and I got it.

Sorry, I'll continue. In looking at Margo's post I remembered that my room was Celine. My friend stayed in Emmanuelle. Anyway, after the first night I moved into my friends room as there were two beds. Don't let me deter you from staying here -- the rooms have a lot of character. <BR> <BR>They have a beautiful restaurant downstairs. We ate there one night and the lights kept going out. No one seemed to mind. <BR> <BR>It is right in the heart of the Old Town. A wonderful location. Many charming, small restaurants and shops are literally just outside the door. <BR> <BR>The morning market is only a couple of blocks and away and you should not miss it. We went several times. One morning it seemed the whole town was a huge market, and my friend and I got some great bargains.
