Our family is traveling to Paris in June and have been trying to find hotels that will accommodate 2 adults and 3 children (ages 10, 8 and 3). It seems that none exist and that it is impossible for a family to stay together in one room. Am I right? Will we need to book two rooms? And is there anything available for a reasonable price? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Sandra, <BR>As far as I know it is not allowed in Europe to accomodate 5 people in one room for safety reasons (fire insurance). But you will surely find a hotel that can give you two adjacent rooms with a communicating door. I think that I saw such rooms at hotel Golden Tulip Cayré. <BR>

Sandra <BR>Most budget and moderately-priced hotels in Paris (and in other places) have small hotel rooms compared to the US. <BR>This forum has had a few postings on moderately-priced hotels that might have rooms that would accommodate 4, but I agree that 5 is probably pushing it. You might want to look into two adjoining rooms. If you Search this forum on Paris hotels, or Paris hotels families, you will find lots of previous postings. You can also check the websites www.paris.org and <BR>www.hotelboulevard.com for their hotel listings. I second the suggestion re renting an apartment. The older, budget hotels don't usually have connecting rooms; the newer hotels tend to have them.
