Hotel Villa Saint-Germain vs. Bel Ami Saint-Germain

We are headed over to Paris next week and am curious if anyone has a recommendation on the Hotel Villa Saint-Germain or the Bel Ami Saint-Germain? The Bel Ami is supposedly very chic - and while I consider myself and my husband non-frumpy - I wouldn't go as far as Paris style chic.

thoughts?

I've stayed at the Villa, which is also very chic with modern furnishings and lots of style. Have to say that the rooms are tres petite, we had to move to the suite in the end. Good location though. I don't know the other. Sorry.

The Bel Ami is modern and stylish also. The rooms aren't huge, but the one I was in was comfortable and spacious enough. I thought the lighting was a little on the dim side, though, and the swizzle stick style shower nozzle took some practice before we stopped spraying the entire bathroom (no shower curtain, just the typical plexiglas half wall you see in a lot of European hotels.

Thanks to both of you. We decided to try the Hotel Villa. We leave on Tuesday for our quick trip to France! Thanks again.

Hello KK2,
I hope it's not too late to advise you! I know the Hotel Cambon, a modern and luxurious hotel, ****, very well located and not as expensive as the Villa and the Bel Ami. You can visit their website: http://www.hcambon.com/en/index.html
I hope you'll have a good trip in Paris!

We have returned from Paris and had an absolutely wonderful visit - as always. The Hotel Villa St. Germain Was GREAT. The room was spacious for Paris standards and perfectly located. The staff was inordinately helpful - they even went to bat for me with a cab driver who showed up 20 minutes early for our trip to the airport and wanted to start charging at that moment. I highly recommend this hotel!
