Hotel Ungherese, Florence

Has anyone stayed here before? It's near Stadio. We are booked there for 100E double room with bath on garden and a/c.They have a pool I think. We'll be taking the bus into the city center...wondering if it is too remote.
Thanks,
Heather
WE leave for our honeymoon in Italy on the 28th and just a few details left to tidy up...car/rail passes, and a hotel on Sicily near Erice, Trapani, MAzzaro della Valle for one night. ANy ideas other than the Moderno?

Yes, the stadium is not an ideal location. It is a bit far from the center and not so scenic. Check out some of the suggested hotels on this site instead.

Hi Feathers,

Looks like a nice place.

You can find it on the map at www.multimap.com. You are about 3 km from the Duomo.

You can find bus routes at http://www.ataf.net/Default_EN.asp

Click on Maps in the upper left corner, and then click on map number 11.
Busses number 3, 11 and 17 are on the corner near your hotel.

Nos. 17 and 11 will take you to the Duomo and the train station in about 15-20 min.

The stadio is not really in the city center, but u can reach it with a ten-minutes-ride by bus.
If u want a suggestion, I stayed three days in florence in a house i rented from a friend: it's cheap, close to the city center (the same distance as the stadio), cute and very intimate. for further details, mail at [email protected].
bye!
