The hotel is out of our price range, but we had no choice when we arrived in Paris without reservations (hence my obsessiveness with having reservations ahead). We had a nice room, full bathroom, even had a built-in hairdryer; fairly noisy as it was on the 2nd floor overlooking rue St Severin. We left too early to eat the breakfast included in the price.

Like I said, we don't spend $200 for a hotel room, so I can't rate whether it was good value for the money or not.

I don't have any reports on it but it's a 3 star so should be comfortable. Location is right in the heart of Paris. You'll be able to walk to lots of places. As for February, we've been there in Feb the last 4 years and it's really been very nice; winter cold but nice. Makes it easy to pack - only cold weather clothing. Of course, with Paris weather being as unpredictable as it is, there are no guarantees. For more Paris information e-mail me – [email protected]

I stayed the first time I visited Paris 3 years ago and we love it. You walk maybe half block (Sena river) and walk along the river for 20 minutes and you are in the Louvre Museum. Inthe front door of the hotel a bus stop and acroos the street the bus stop(return).A lot of action day and NIGHT, a lot of people, student and restaurants(PARIS!)This year I will be back in August but Iwill be staying at tha Courtyard(Neuilly) close to the Arc of Triumph. But the Royal is OK but is up to you.Von voyage

Our friends stayed there in April of this year when they were unable to join us in our favorite Hotel de Notre Dame. The place was fine. Though right on the Blvd. St. Michel, they had no trouble with noise and my friend found it fun and quirky to be able to windowshop from the full length window in her bathroom that overlooked the street. The room was large enough. Perhaps the only complaint was that the elevator is extremely small.
