What is your budget? Ibis and Etap are lower-cost options. Look for some others here: http://www.accorhotels.com

for that budget i would try the sheraton. we stayed there and if you are a starwood preferred guest they will upgrade your room. it is also very convenient to the rer so you can have a nice dinner in paris. we just stayed at the comfort inn at the airport which was very affordable. they are further away but have a shuttle.

We got a very good rate at the Radisson by calling directly to the 800 number. Lovely large room and there is a shuttle starting at 5 Am, as I recall. Surprisingly the restaurant was quite acceptable!

It's definitely the Suite Hotel...Charles-de-Gaulle-Nord-2. Take the shuttle, from the airport, that says Suite Hotel on the side of it and go to the second stop AFTER you have left the airport area. The first stop will be the Suite Hotel-Roissy Ville.I've been going to Paris for nearly 30 years and have never had such a spacious room. It's a new concept-all the rooms in the hotels are suites...30 square meters big. I was there last month and if one checked in on a Friday and out on a Monday, the price was only 42 Euros a night...otherwise Mon-Thurs it was 95 Euros and on Fri/Sat 75Euros. There's a gym in the hotel and a free computer for use...located in the lobby. Plus there's regulary free shuttle service to the airport. As far as getting into Paris, the Suite Hotel shuttle will drop you off at the airport at Terminal one, if you'd like, where there's the RER train into Paris. Or take the Roissy bus and get dropped off between the American Express office and old Opera house.

And if you want something a bit more interesting, here are 3 that I took noye of from other posters here

Chateau d'Ermenonville south of senlis near CDG room for $125 (this price is probably dated)
http://www.chateau-ermenonville.com/accueiluk.htm

Chateau Chaumontel in Luzarche also near CDG
www.chateau-chaumontel.fr/

Chateau de Montvillargenne 15 mins from CDG listed in www.chateaudemontvillargenne.com

I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott and it was fantastic. I highly recommend it. The $99 and $139 rate quoted by another poster is correct. It was gorgeous inside, the rooms were so comfortable. It also a very safe hotel; you cannot go up in the elevator unless you swipe your key. The food was pretty good at the restaurant and the internet access was open 24-hours a day. I found the staff to be very helpful and polite.

Why do you want to stay at the airport? YOu can stay at the IBIS for $80/night and be just as comfortable. I'd stay in Paris unless it is just absolutely necessary to stay at the airport.

I also wonder why you want to stay at the airport.

A shuttle can get you there in under an hour for about 18E each.

Perhaps nyudad is doing what we did, flying into de Gaule in the evening and flying out the next morning--staying at the airport makes logistics much simpler. We got a good price at the airport Hilton through hoteldiscounts.com. The Hilton is perfectly comfortable, although the restaurants aren't anything special. From what I've heard, the Sheraton is much better.

I don't recommend the Novotel in case you had it in mind. It's just plain ugly.

We're staying at the Hyatt (early flight the next morning). They have a special price if you purchase ahead of time on their website (strict cancellation policy though).

My vote is for Chateau d'Ermenonville...We stayed there about 6 years ago and thought it was very reasonable for such a lush setting..also had dinner there, which was very good. My husband still talks about the cheese cart with about 25 choices. I think it's about 20 mins from the airport. Mary
