I have heard negative comments about Hotel De La Tulipe which I have booked for part of my stay. So I am looking for a back up - any comments on the 2 hotels mentioned above would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't know Ethel Kennedy had a hotel in Paris.

I stayed 1 night at the Hotel Moliere about a year ago and did not like it. It had a very low ceiling which gave the room a claustrophobic feeling, and I am not tall. It was clean, the bathroom was large enough, but it was just very plain. I would not stay there again.

We stayed at Moliere last May. Triple room was large enough, but the busy wallpaper made me dizzy. New bathroom (no shower curtain...)Decent breakfast. Fantastic bakery next door and great restaurant a few doors away. We liked the location and finally got used to the place. There was a nicer looking place across the street - Hotel Louvre something-or-other. Red awnings and looked a step up. Nearby were the Citadines and a few other decent looking places in the same neighborhood. Cafe Ruc across from the quite fancy and expensive Hotel du Louvre was a favorite hangout. Loved the outdoor cafe which is a great people watching spot! <BR>I continue to recommend the Open Tour busses which make continuous loops around the city. Hop on/Hop off. You can buy tickets on the bus. <BR>Have a great trip! We can't wait to go back!

Stayed at Eiffel Kennedy in 1999, found that the staff were very helpful and accomodating. The rooms were typical European (small), but the hotel was well located. It is near a metro, the Seine, the tower, RER and just about everything else. If you are looking to spend your days in your room, this is not the place, but if you want clean, convenient and near lots of stuff, then this is.
