Hotel LeChat in Honfleur

We have reservations to stay at the Hotel Lechat in Honfleur in September. We tried the L'Ecrin but it was booked. Any comments about this hotel? Also, can anyone recommend any good restaurants in town? Thanks!!

The best restaurant we found in Honfleur (we were there in May) is L'Assiette Gormande" 2, quai des Passagers. Their phone number is 02 31 89 24 88 and their fax is 02 31 89 90 17. It is pricey, but worth it. I would strongly advise reservations. I could not find them on the internet anywhere so we just tried when we got there. They were unable to take us the first night we were in town, but we made reservations for the next night and were so glad we did.

We also stayed at Hotel Lechat. Its a wonderful location. We watched a wedding party exiting the church from our window. The only negative, and I guess it goes along with staying opposite a church, is that there seemed an overwhelming amount of bell ringing going on.

Have a wonderful time.

We stayed there in April. Great location and friendly staff. If you are driving, note that they do not have any particular parking area. You need to park on the street. We arrived late on a Sunday afternoon when the streets were completely crowded with shoppers and visiters, so finding a place to park was a challenge! We had a very nice dinner at a place called something like La Fleur et Le Sol (The Flower and the Salt). We just walked from the hotel until we spotted a menu that we liked! We loved Honfleur and would definitely stay there again. Have a great time!

Both my memory and my spelling skills are lacking! The restaurant we liked was called La Fleur de Sel.

Thanks for the information, PJ! I didn't know about the parking situation near the hotel so this information is helpful.
