Hotel in Rome for family of 5

Can anyone make recommendation for a hotel in Rome for my husband, myself and my three small children? Do we absolutely have to book 2 rooms? In the US, we always stay in one. We'll only be in Rome for two nights...hoping to see as much as we can in this short time.

Thank you!

When are you staying, and what is your price range? I did a quick check on venere.com for a hypothetical weekend and it appears there are 5-person suites available. You might use that as a starting point.

(Apologies in advance if this posts twice)

Have you looked into an apartment rental? Check reviews at www.slowtrav.com.

Check out the apatments for rent or the b&b places, I'm sure you can find what you need. We rented an apartment that was on Via Governo Vecchio that was awesome and much cheaper than hotel rooms - most places want to rent for a week, but do have places available for jsut a few days-and the luzury of having your own place, with kids, is invaluable. There is a dentist who has a few apartments on that street, but I cannot recall the business name, if it comes to me I will post that info. good luck

I searched through many hotels for our family of 4. I found several that had "Family Rooms". I also found that most websites indicate that the rooms cannot accommodate more than 2 or 3....you need to e-mail or call directly. In most cases, they either had a suite or gave a break on the 2 rooms. We personally did not want an apartment as we like a hotel experience better. We have not taken the trip yet so I cannot elaborate much on the rooms we have reserved.

Also take a look at Domus Julia - I think they'd have something that would work for you.

Last year we stayed at Hotel Santa Prisca and had a big suite with 2 separate rooms for our family of 5 (3 teenagers) and they also had free parking.
