Hotel in Perugia

Can anyone suggest a hotel in Perugia that is fairly nice, but not too expensive? We are only spending our first night in Italy in Perugia and want a comfortable hotel to rest ourselves in. I'm not finding much information on the internet, however.

Thanks!

I can suggest a very central and small hotel called HOTEL FORTUNA, which is right in the very centre of Perugia, on a parallel street with Corso Vannucci which is the main stret of Perugia. This is the hotel with their prices. It is a 3 star hotel set in a medieval building. Charming!

Last April, I stayed at Hotel Priori for few nights. It is a nice two stars hotel in the middle of old twon, about 3 minutes walk to Pizza Novembre and Cathedral, there is a good restaurant around the corner of the hotel. Please check:www.perugia.com/hotelpriori/info.html.

I just stayed there last month in 'ALBERGO ANNA', Via dei Priori, 48 on the 4th floor (tel & fax 011 39 075 573604). It was only 25 euros per night! Their rates range on room type but are not more than 50 euros a night. The building was a former convent and was restored with charming, clean rooms, many with views of the city. It is located right off Corso Vannucci, at the corner which has the 13th C. Palazzo dei Priori building. Emma Citti is the friendly owner and proud "Perugina" of many generations past.
