Hotel in London: help, please

I am travelling to London from March 17 to March 20.
I am considering the following hotels: Grange Strathmore, Country Inn Kensington, kensington Close Hotel &Spa.
We are a couple and our plan is a mixture of museums and shopping. Thanks!! If you have any other suggesyion for that budget, please, feel free.

Hi,

Have you checked reviews on TripAdvisor.com? When doing so, look for a general consensus of opinions and be skeptical of any reviews that sound like the hotel management could have written them (because they *could* have).

Kensington is a good location for those looking to shop and go to musuems...although not close to some (like the British Museum and the stores of Regent Street).

Don't know if you booked your hotel yet, but I just returned from London and stayed at the Kensington Close. I'm from NYC, so I'm no stranger to small hotel rooms. The hotel was clean and included a decent breakfast in the morning. It's in a great location. Didn't love the beds, but I wasn't expecting to stay at the 4 seasons either. I noticed two other hotels in the area, but I'm not sure what the price range was. This was a solid hotel to eat and sleep and be in an excellent location.

Not sure if you've booked yet - if you are going to london, it's one of the best priceline cities in the world for hotels. I booked the 5* hilton waldorf for $100 US, and I've seen great $50 and $60 deals on the thistle hotels. You will get a heck of a lot more bang for your buck in the insanely expensive city if you go through priceline. The downside is you have to pay up front, but it's well worth it if your plans are solid and are sure on the nights you are staying. Take a look at www.biddingfortravel.com to see the recently booked rates/hotels in london (direct link: http://p070.ezboard.com/fpricelinean...abiddingfrm215)

Both the Hilton London Olympia and the Hilton London Kensington are showing very good rates for that period ($150 US or less per night on the Hilton website). See if either location suits your plans. Priceline looks like it would get you an even better deal.
