hotel for final night

My fiance and I have booked our trip to Paris for December 21-27. We will be staying in the Relais du Louvre for 5 nights and a chateau for one night. Does anyone have any suggestions for a different hotel for our final night, or should we just book another night at the Relais du Louvre? We would like to see a different hotel, but our flight also departs from CDG the next day. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'd just stay there the last night. Last nights are always so hectic anyway and having to pack, move, then unpack, then repack seems a lot less fun than seeing Paris on your last night!

I agree, that may be the least hectic route. You could have the hotel hold most of your bulky stuff on the day you stay at the chateau. That way you don't have to lug everything with you & back.

A slightly different viewpoint:
We did a week in Paris, a week in the countryside, Paris the last night. (As it turned out, we came back early and spent the last 2 nights in Paris.)

We chose a different hotel for our return to Paris and loved experiencing two different areas. The 2nd hotel happily stored our excess baggage while we travelled in the country. We simply dropped it off on the way out of town.

It's tempting to say go for the different hotel. But we had two nights. You're travelling on your last day, so you won't have much time for exploring a new area.

In the end I'd say stay at the same hotel simply because you'll be familiar with restaurants and shops nearby.

You might want to stay in St-Germain for your last night, to get a feeling for a part of the city many visitors like very much. I suggest the Hotel de l'Abbaye near St-Sulpice.

Any hotel will arrange a taxi for the airport. Just be sure to tell them the night before so they can order ahead.
