Hi Renee
I stayed there in October 98. I LOVED it. My room was very very small as was the bathroom; whether or not there is much variation in room sizes I can't say, you could ask. The room and bathroom were spotless and charming.
There is a pretty courtyard where you can have your included breakfast in good weather; otherwise it is served inside. Concierge/front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. Same-day laundry service was available. Location is perfect; 5-minute walk to San Marco, yet on a little alley of its own so there was no noise problem. By the way, I liked it.

If you want more ravings, or if you are interested in my Venice sightseeing notes, email me; I love talking about Venice.

Yes, the Flora is what Venice is all about. I stayed here in 1991 ($150 per night). Cats lived in the ivy outside my room. People sang in the evening and morning. It was perfect. Just forget any concerns and book a room ASAP. What a wonderful inn. So perfect for Venice. And eat at Da Fiore restaurant across the Grand Canal - great food and perfect white wine. We are going to Rome in early March, and I just wish I had the itme to go up to Venice and visit Flora once more. And by the way, I do not care what it costs now, but you must, must take the boat from the airport to the landing near Flora. It just doesn't matter what the cost is now - you must do this!!! Have a great time.
