Yep, I had a hospital bill in France recently, which I received once I returned home. I paid by bank transfer, cost was Euro75 for the transfer. Somehow it ended up being short by 6 euro. When I explained to the hospital that it would cost me 75 euro to pay 6 euro, they said too bad! You still owe us. So I hope I don't get arrested next time I go to France.

Nope there is no obligation to respond.
But you better believe it that if toddtarantino1183 ever asks another question again, we're ALL gonna say, "We won't help you until you tell us what happened with that Austrian hotel!"
I just told my husband the backstory, and while he always scoffs about my trip reports and my interest in travel social media, his immediate reaction was, "Well, THAT does not make sense! So what happened?"
So, toddtarantino1183, keeping an 80+-year-old hanging isn't nice. He doesn't have that much time left!
