Alia, you don't mention what your interests are. Do you enjoy art? Seashore? History? Madrid has the Prada with some of the best paintings I've ever seen, but can be chilly in Oct. Barcelona is a great city. There are several islands that might be nice for a honeymoon. Do you want any sidetrips, ie Morocco? Give more information and you'll get a better response.
Art, you keep saying Prada, sweetie, it is PRADO.

Alia, hands down, get to Madrid, train on to Barcelona. Rent a car, drive the coast.

You can fly into Madrid, see the city, Prado museum and Royal palace. From there you can go to Toledo an hour away and stay the night, it has a wonderful medieval atmosphere. The best part of Spain in my opinion is Andalusia. You can take a fast train (2 1/2 hrs) to Seville. It's beautiful there and it's my second favorite city after Paris. It's a nice city to be in. You can rent a car there and see white washed villages such as Arcos della Frontera or see Ronda. I don't know if it will be warm enough to go down to the Coast to swim. Granada is 3 hours by bus or train from Seville. It has beautiful Mudejar architecture and gardens and great views. You could then go Barcelona, it has interesting architecture, Picasso museum, and Parc Guell is very nice. With all that I wouldn't call Barcelona a romantic city.
You can base yourself in Madrid, Seville, Granada, and Barcelona if you don't want to move around too much. I was there in May, but my friend went in December and said it didn't get colder than 55F.

We flew into malaga and rented a car and drove the southern part. It is fantastic! We stayed in Sotogrande and made that the base. Day trips to Marbella, Gibraltar, and Morrocco. We golfed everyday also! Took the train to Ronda. Much to do and see!
