Honeymoon in Amalfi Coast
My fiance are planning to honeymoon next June in the Amalfi Coast. We are looking to stay there 6 or 7 days (also hitting all the towns around the area- Pompei, Sorrento, Naples, etc) not sure if it is best to fly in/out of Rome or Naples- looking into trains, buses, ferries, etc since we don't really want to rent a car.
1)Looking to stay at the Punta Civita B&B- has anyone stayed there?
2) which island would be the best to stay a couple of days in; Sicily, capri or Sardinia? Appreciate any advise!
thanks!

It sounds like Sorrento would be the best base for you, sinc eyou want to see Pompeii, Capri, and Naples. Also it has good transportation options by boat or bus to many of the Amalfi Coast towns.
Just a FYI- Sicily is several hours south of the Amalfi Coast. Capri is about half an hour by boat from Sorrento. And Sardegna is about an hour flight ( I think) from Rome.

I forgot to say that the closest airport is Naples, so if you can easily fly into Naples, that's your best bet. Naples is not far from Sorrento- I think about an hour's drive by car. You can also get to Sorrento by boat from Naples.

If you plan on not spending any time in Rome, then fly into Naples (possibly through Rome) and hire a private driver to take you to your hotel on the Amalfi coast.
I agree with Weadles, Sicily is too far if your total time is 6-7 days.
Opt instead for a closer island like Capri.
Sardinia is a long ferry ride from Naples (16 hrs). Again, possible if you had more time but not really feasible or comfortable with only 6-7.
You'll see that when you get to the Amalfi coast you won't want to leave. Getting to almost any point on the coast other than Sorrento is pretty tricky, so it's another reason that once you get there you won't want to contemplate leaving!
(Remember, the landscape here is vertical, the exact antithesis to an open plain, which makes getting around more complicated).
For only 6-7 days I would suggest:
Fly into Naples. Private driver picks you up and does private tour of Pompeii, then escorts you to your hotel.
4 nights Amalfi coast (town of your choice)
2 - 3 nights island stay like Capri
Have a great trip!

Last night on FoodTV (Saturday, 6/23), Giada di Laurentis did an hour show on Capri. Granted a lot of it focused on the food of the area, but it also mentioned hotels and shops. And needless to say the views were breathtaking! Typically the show repeats during the week so if you go to foodtv.com you might find out when it airs again. Look for "Giadia in Paradise).
