home exchange in europe

Has anyone done a home exchange recently? We did them years ago when there were still books to look through. Any suggestions or tips? New exchange clubs? Any information would help us narrow down the choices. We will first exchange in London this Fall, then we plan to travel a lot more in Europe.

It's www.homelink.org not .com

Unless you want a garage door opener...

I belong to both Homelink and Intervac. You can still get books for those companies, but they charge you an extra free for them. I just use the online listings. You won't miss a thing without the books to throw in the trash at the end of the year. Besides the books, if you got them, would be huge. It is much easier to avoid more trash and go through the website.

Homelink and Intervac are still just great. I have been a member of both since 1990.

As Faux refers to on her other posting, www.knowyourtrade.com has everything that you are looking for. We have listed all the exchange clubs in several different categories. You can find all the home exchange clubs that have launched in the last year, for example. Our site will help you narrow your choices, for sure.
Yes, as the others have said there are still books, but they are few and far between. The problem with the books are that the web sites are updated daily, so the choices are much broader. In fact several of the clubs will send emails as soon as new listings appear in places that are of interest to you.
