hola.. again help on itinerary, start BCN ends madrid

Hi all,

me and my sis plan a visit in october.
we're early 20 something girls, firstly asking will it be a safe journey overall? (to satisfy our big family's concern on touring alone in spain, especialy in southern)

we're flexible on transport.
tightening budget on accomodation & eating.
any help re suggestion for motels and food
(specific hotel/resto name etc, specific transport mode name) will be very much appreciated.

we drop beaches, and 1/2 museo in madrid & bcn would be enough.
we love scenery, great architecture & landscape, quiet stroll...

So far the itin is as below :

- Barcelona 4d, 4th day at midday fly to granada
- Granada, 3d, w/ trip to guadix
- train to Ronda
- Ronda, 2d
- bus to sevilla
- Sevilla, 2d/3d
- bus/ train to cordoba
still not decided ..... advice?
- Cordoba, 1n
- train to Madrid
- Madrid, 3/4d (w/ day trip to Segovia, Toledo)

I left places of interest that we'd like to vist in each cities back at home, so i'll post later. in the meantime kindly advise about itin above.

i notice many started in madrid and end bcn.
is doing it the other way around fine also?

many many thanks..
feliz fin de semana!

be very wary of posting "20 something girls" on here, many are very "age-sensitive" (see my thread-shocker on what to do in paris haha).
It's quite hard to forsee whether you will have a safe journey, hopefully you're both smart enough for that.
Can advise lots for BCN but what's the arrival date?

jeje.. everything that shows identity you can be sure it's a disguise/fake. incl our "20 something girls" remark.

we'll be arriving early oct.

BCN plans are:
sagrada familia
La Rambla and around
Museo Picasso
Passeig de gracia
Palau Guiell & Parc Guiell
Nou Camp stadium
Montserrat - funicular
Golondrinas

is it too many to squeeze into 3 1/2 days we're there? or do we forget to put something in?

what's the best order to do on the list per day?

we're thinking on taking the bus turistic. but metro would also be fine.
are there any 'tourist pass' for train tickets?

accomodation somewhere quiet, also not a party goers we are

any extreme sports/activities we could do in BCN?

Sounds like a good itin.

For Barcelona: the tourist attractions are all well indicated and busy, so you will have no trouble finding them. For cheap meals, you can count on your guidebook and another good resource is the Short List at www.bcnweek.com, which never lists any place that has meals over 10€ per person.

For extreme sports, you can climb Montjuïc. I wish I could recommend a climbing rental place, but we use our own gear. It is a lot of fun. You can also rent a bike (Fat Tire and Budget are very good) and head up to Tibidabo, then zip back down.

You are doing a lot, but BCN is made for touring and seeing stuff. The Bus Turístic is great, and the metro is efficient (though every minute you spend underground is less seeing of what is above ground).

October is a great time to visit, too.

As for the rest of your trip. . .

Take the train from Sevilla to Córdoba. . . so fast and so nice! I hate busses, though. . .

In Madrid, do not miss the Prado and the Reina Sofía. They are amazing museums.
