Hilton Hotel in Munich
We're going to Munich in November and will be staying at the Hilton Hotel Munich City. I don't see any mention of it either on this site, or in the book I bought by Fodor's on Munich. Has anyone stayed there, or know anything about it?
We were in Munich in March of this year--loved it! Walked by the Munich City Hilton; it's on the other side of the river from downtown area. It was on a busy street. We stayed at the King's Hotel-13 Dachaur Strasse; just up the street about 500 meters from the main train station. Good weekend rates and nice breakfast; rooms a bit small, but we were up at 7 a.m. and home after midnight so that didn't bother us--very friendly and helpful staff also. We'd stay there again.
Enjoy!!
Karla,

Stayed at the Munich City Hilton in April. It's a very nice hotel with well- appointed rooms and oversized bathrooms. Staff was eager to please.

Have been to Munich on two other occasions, and was very satisfied with the convenience of this area. The train from the airport stopped right under the hotel. The Marienplatz is only two stops away on the U-bahn--also, from underneath the hotel. I would definitely stay there if in the city again.

I have stayed at the Munich City Hilton in October 1998 and was very satisfied. Large rooms (very large for european standards), oversize bathrooms and very friendly and helpful staff.

It lies on a very busy thoroughfare, however most rooms are located at the back of the building facing a little park. Just be sure to request one of these rooms.

The S-Bahn from the airport stops right und the hotel with lobby access by elevator from underpass level. the Deutsches Museum and city centre are within walking distance.

I certainly would stay there again.

Enjoy your trip

Phil.
