I provided an update to my original inquiry about hiking: we didn't hike in Cinque Terre, and DH managed a short and mostly flat hike (more like a walk) in Tirol. As for a trip report, though the style is much, much abbreviated from my usual, I did write above that, "We sunned, we swam, we ate seafood and laughed together as a family while in Italy; and we lucked out with two additional days in Tirol. For us, it was a great holiday."
