Here we go again HELP Please

Trying this again
This is just a starting plan it's all over the place and I need help
To make decisions re destinations we have 10 to 12 weeks very excited the longest we have ever had.
I am traveling with my husband and daughter will join us for part of the the time (Greece/Turkey)
We like towns and cities ,history , food not into night life ( daughter might be)
Glassgow is a must my husband is Scottish and still has lots of family there
The last time we did a trip we were in the south of France /Italy/Switzerland loved it but want to go
to different places this trip also tried to choose slightly cheaper destinations as we are away for longer anyway any input is greatfully excepted

Time of year? Especially when might you want to be in Greece and Italy for the heat and the crowds?
What do you expect to spend a day for you as a couple?
Do you like to move every day or base for a week and do day trips?

Just to bounce up some ideas, there is a nice line of cities going south of Germany to Prague that might interest you.

First, how long do you plan to spend in Greece, Turkey and Glasgow (plus anywhere else in Scotland)?

What time of year?

Do you want to go where you want to go, or do you want to be away as long as possible by choosing 'cheaper' destinations?

The difference between 10 weeks and 12 weeks is rather big. When will you know exactly how much time you have, or is it based on where you go, how much it costs, etc.?

Budapest x 3
Slovenia x3
Croatia Split x 2
Dubrovnik x 2

Venice x2 ( have been before )
Rome x 6 ( have been before ) Maybe base somewhere else?

With 10-12 weeks, you can do a lot, what kind of input are you seeking?

I'd start in Greece/Turkey, then go to Slovenia, Germany then finish in Glasgow. Do you want to go to Italy or not this trip, I can't tell.

Turkey-Greece-Italy-Slovenia-Germany would be my route logically.

And it depends how much of those countries you want to see, you've been in Italy before--even that is only 5 countries, you could do 2 weeks in 10 weeks.

I was thinking of leaving Greece/Turkey until the end so
It would be warmer we like swimming but needs to be warm.
Also we have to fly into London using air points on Air NZ
so will already be in UK and will just make our way up to Glassgow
The bits I am not sure about is Barcelona or Germany
They are out of the way from the rest of my chosen places but we have always
Had it on the list of must go places?

looks ok to me, minor thoughts

I'd do Maroc more than Berlin but that is just me
I'd not choose Bratislava, just not impressed, Dresden/Vienna better.

Greece and Turkey at the end, good and hot.

Dubrovnik is wrecked by the ships. 2 night stop at least gives you two possibly pleasant evenings. The place is great though. If you get to Split add another night and get Trogir in. Depending on the political situation in Turkey you might prefer to spend more time in the Croatian islands, but Turkey is a wonderful place with lovely people.

London to Bath you are going south, then up to Glasgow - that's a lot of extra distance. IMHO Bath isn't worth the extra travel - I would visit York instead which is on the way - or even better, go via Wales which was the highlight of our trip several years ago

I can not advice you on what to miss but I would try to cut a few destinations and make some longer stops especially towards the end of the trip. Visiting new places you may be tempted to fit in as much as possible, but this tends tiring after a while. I often take 4-6 weeks long trips, usually focusing on one country only and still I need to slow down after 10-15 days of travel. It would be nice to fit in one day here and there where you do nothing specific, simply staying in bed till late, having a spa treatment, walking around aimlessly, doing some laundy, watching a movie or whatever.
I theory you have some beach/relaxing destinations on Croatia and Greece but in practice if you have say 2-3 nights in a place, you have only one or two full days available. Getting oriented, visiting a site or beach, your time is up and you have to move on on next destinations....

Hi there!
when you visit Greece during your trip (better on summer) pay a visit on the Aegean islands and especially visit Santorini..there are plenty sights to see and of course there are beautiful beaches. as for the food..Greek traditional food is delicious!

Just a thought about the leg up to Glasgow. You're booking now for May - why are you taking the train? I would have a look at flight prices (eg Easyjet) to see how they compare. The train to Glasgow is actually longer then you expect it to be, especially if you go up the west coast, so it can actually be more cost-effective to get an Easyjet flight.
