Hi kjoisher,

Can you tell us what kind of activities you're interested in -- and what you want to see in Switzerland? It's a very diverse country, so if you tell us what you'd like to see, we can halp you narrow it down a bit.

If you want to see mountains, go to the villages of the Berner Oberland: Wengen, Muerren, or Grindelwald.

If you want to see lakes and mountains with some culture and history thrown in, go to Brienz or Luzern.

If you want to experience some Swiss/Italian culture, go to Lugano or Locarno. If you want to experience some Swiss/French culture, go to Lausanne, Montreux, or Vevey.

To check rail routes, schedules, and fares, go to www.rail.ch.

To get more information on the places I named, just do a text search here.

I also suggest you re-post this and name Switzerland as your destination -- we can't tell from your title where your trip will be!

Let me know if I can help further.

Hi kjoisher .. Are you driving around Switzerland? You would certainly want to see Lucerne and maybe even stay there. If you can manage it also take the train and go up to Zermatt which is at the foot of the Matterhorn Mountain. You can't drive up there because they don't allow cars!! It's beautiful. This is a rather easy "do" from Zurich or Lucerne. I haven't been to Bern, but understand that it's worht seeing also. Good luck and have agreat trip.
