Help with stop location

We are planning a trip to Italy, Rome, Florence and Venice. My husband has given me a choice of stopping in London for 3 days or ending our trip in Milan for 3 days, could you travelers please help me decide.

Is that three nights or four nights? London is my favorite big city, so an easy decision for me. Milan is fine for a quick stop, but I wouldn't want three full days there.

Well, I guess London it is. Is there a hotel recommendation near the tube, just want a clean hotel, I know London hotels are pricey, it would be nice to find one that's under $200, it that doable.

Try

www.londontown.com
www.lastminute.com
www.laterooms.com

You can search by price, location, standard etc.

There are ten stations on that line (Piccadilly) inside the Central line, so not much help. Also, when?

I stay here, unless I'm staying in LSE student accommodation, getting off at Russell Square:

It's not posh, the Arosfa next door is a bit posher and a bit pricier. But it looks like you need to stay four nights. 145 USD/night for a double en suite. If I were splurging I would stay here:

but it's above your budget too.

I use booking.com if I'm not booking directly with the hotel.
