both are nice cities but i would opt for your own suggestion of 4 prague and 3 in budapest. prague is an especially nice walking town. if you need public transportation use the tram(read the old fashioned street car) can get 3 and 5 day tickets cheaply-they are fast, clean and frequent

4 days in Prague, and 3 in Budapest would be my suggestion. There is a lot more to see in Prague than in Budapest. I actually think you can probably get away with only 2 days in Budapest. I really liked both cities, but in my view there is more to see in Prague. Then there is a bias since my wife is from Prague. Have a nice trip.

Hi!

My wife and I spent 3/3 in October. If we had to pick an extra day in one of these cities it would probably be Prague.

Whatever you decide, however, you can't go wrong. They are both beautiful cities.

I'll be sending you our trip report for reference.

Bob

Glamgirl,

You won't be disappointed with Bob's trip report. It is so informative and helpful. I am planning a trip to Rome in March because of the inspiring report he wrote about his trip there. (It doesn't take much for me to be inspired to take a trip though!)

Hi, Bob. I'm still waiting to hear from the Scavi Tour office. I e-mailed at least 3-4 weeks ago and faxed them almost 2 weeks ago. I'm just impatient.

Sandi
