Help with our next trip

Hi,

we are planning a late may trip to Europe this year. and our trying to decide on several iteraries. I would like to get some feedback from those who have visted these places. our trip canbe from 9 to 13 days long

1. Prague(4d)- cesky Krumluv(1d) - Salzburg(3d) - venice(3d)

2. Prague(4d) - cesky Krumluv(2d) - salzburg and environs (4d)

3.Venice(3-4d) - Croatia-islands-dbrovonik(6-7d)

What will the weather be like in Salzburg in May?

What will weather be like in croatia in May ? Is may a bad time to visit croatia?

Does any one have any resorces for booking croatia? I can't seem to find much on the web? Also how can you get from venice to croatia without flying.

I realize this is a really broad question, but we are looking for opinions and advice to help us decide where to go. Airfare seems to be about the same no matter what itenerary I choose - multilegs included (650-850 from ORD)

any other itenerary suggestions are welcome

I like the first one. We did that same trip in May of 1999, only in reverse, and loved it. I assume you are taking trains--we were driving as part of a longer itinerary that ended in Munich.

Bob,
Thanks for the response. I would actually Drive from Prague to cesky, then mabye to salzburg, depending the cost of the international dropoff. but train from Salzburg to Venice

What time of year did you do this - will it be very cold in Salzburg in May? If we choose this itenerary - we might want to do some walking/hiking in the countryside around salzburg.

I know you're not all that new here - - but I'd rather offer you help with your next <b>post</b>. This is not my &quot;rule&quot; or finger-wagging - - it's what Fodors itself asks you to do - - quoting from item 6 on their &quot;HELP&quot; webpage...

http://www.fodors.com/forums/faqs.cfm#Q6

==========

&quot;Finally, create a title - make sure it is concise and clearly describes your message (<b>and destination, if applicable</b...&quot;

==========

(my own added emphasis)

Best wishes,

Rex

We did that in early May and it was fine. If you keep the car for Salzburg, consider staying in St. Gilgen and day tripping from there. Try hard to include Hallstatt one day.
