Help with one week Portugal itinerary
We have one week for Portugal the 2nd week in April and have booked accommodations - 3 nights in Porto and 4 nights in Lisbon. Two questions:
1. With only 2 full days in Porto should we spend one in the Douro Valley? Found fabulous (well reviewed) small group tour with wine tasting, lunch and boat tour with Porto Exclusive. Is one full day in Porto too little?
2. If we do the Douro Valley should we take a later train to Lisbon the next day to have some more time in Porto? I was originally going to leave in the morning to have an extra afternoon in Lisbon, or another option is to rent car or car and driver and stop at some places along the drive - Coimbra, Nazare, Obidos. Will 3 full days in Lisbon be ok (with a day trip to Sintra, Cascais)?
We usually travel at a slower place, but our daughter and her BF are traveling with us and they can only be gone the one week.
Thanks for any thoughts on this.

HI,
2 full days in Porto is short, the Douro river cruise is absolutely a must but you'll burn a full day.You should have 2 days in Porto. Leave the next day.Douro valley is a must. The option for the car is ideal, with a car it's possible to see Coimbra, Nazaré and Óbidos in a single day at a fast pace and superficially, of course. From Porto to Lisbon is a 3 hour drive, but these 3 cities are right next to the highway..3 full days are ok for Lisbon but you need a full day for Sintra an another for Cascais.
