Help with food!!!!!!

My husband is a very picky eater. We are going to Greece end of NOvember. Any chance there are italian restaurants or a place he can get a hamburger. Or should I have him pack his food for 10 days.!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes there are such places, but it's a shame he will not open his mind and try the local cuisine. That's half the fun of travelling.

Greece is very close to Italy - there are a lot of Italian restaurants there. However, as a picky eater myself, let me suggest that he go with an open mind! Try the salads, the lamb etc - there are wonderful options, even if you don't eat a lot of different types of foods.

I don't see why someone who likes hamburgers and Italian food wouldn't be able to find some Greek dishes that he would like. There are some Greek foods very similar to hamburgers and Italian foods. Kefthedes are wonderfully flavoured meatballs. Pastitsio is a pasta dish with ground meat and white sauce and cheese. Plus souvlaki, which is simply grilled skewers of meat - chicken, lamb or beef.
I agree with P_M - it would be a shame to go there and be unwilling to try the local cuisine. Why travel if one only wants the familiar?

If he likes BBQ then he will love souvla. Kleftico will also be on the menu in the winter, mmmmmmm.

You'll be fine -- just don't order octopus in front of him * )

I know they have McDonald's in Athens. I kept reminding my wife each time we passed one that I couldn't believe they had so many here. I may have even passed a KFC place, if you are so inclined.

Thank you all for your help. I'm sure I can get him to try some Greek food but as long as I know there is something to fall back on he will be fine. Also his mother is coming with us and she is a picky eater too.
