Help with Florence Itinerary

Greetings, Mrs Plastic and I are gearing up for our trip to Italy in October and we will be passing through Florence for two days. Unfortunately one is a Monday when some of the major sites are closed. I wanted to post our planned itineraries in case I missed a must see. Thanks for any help!

Monday-Arrive at 10ish.
1. Renaissance Walk out of Rick Steves, during the walk hit Duomo Museum and then San Marco
2. At 5pm we are taking a cooking class.

Tuesday
1. Accedemia
2. Medici Chapels
3. Uffizi
4. At 2:15 we have a Chianti wine tour.

Any others I am missing. I figured I'd see most other sites on my Ren Walk like San Lorenzo Market etc.

You certainly are "passing through Florence" - literally almost. I say slow down, soak a bit of it in and miss a "must see" or two.

BTW, where's San Marco in Florence?

Last year we did a Tuesday similar to yours - 9:30 Accademia, Medici Chapel, lunch, 1:30 Ufizzi. We were exhausted after all of this and I would be a little concerned about having to rush to make the 2:15 wine tour.

I'm not sure what is included on the Renaissance Walk but another highlight for us was Santa Croce Church.

Enjoy your trip.

I think Tuesday is too full. Something's going to have to give, especially if you factor in time to get wherever you meet your Chianti tour and eat something to sustain yourself.

This is what I am worried about, time is so limited and yet I want to soak Florence in without missing too much. Somethings gotta give it sound like. Thanks for the advice.

BTW Tuck, San Marco is a former monastary that houses mostly the works of Fra Angelico it is just NE of the medici palace.

Tuesday morning looks too packed, considering you have to get to someplace to leave for your wine tour at 2:15.
