Help with Booking on the Riviera

I'm trying to book hotels on the French Riviera for next April over the internet. I am finding a lack of vacancies, especially in the smaller towns like Villefranche-sur-mer. Its not an unusual request (2 people six days in a double). Did I miss something? Is it already too late to be booking for next April????? Is it too early???

Are you trying to book with specific hotels or are you using a website that handles many hotels?

www.venere.com worked well for me in many cities in Europe.

Actually venere.com is one of the ones telling me there are no vacancies. I'm trying to book one hotel at a time.

Perhaps someone could try it on their computer. Venere.com Hotel Riviera - Villefranche-sur-Mer. Check in 1 April 06 check out 7 April 06 Two persons one room. I get no vacancy.

I get the same responses for many other hotels and on some other sites?

By the way - I do have cookies turned on.

Thanks so much.

It may be to early too book hotels for your dates. A number of sites won't book ahead for more than 9 months or so, especially for requests after January 1st, when prices often change. It's very frustrating--but you can try dealing with the hotels directly.

Thanks so much. I was hoping that was the case. Better too early than too late!
