It is hard to search out reliable house removal company but the moving companies are giving their services also on internet that will leads you to the list of companies working in your town so you can easily pick one on the basis of public reviews.

So why solicit them?

What bets that Emma works for that firm after having searched for "removals"?

Yup, my thoughts exactly. I strongly suspect the whole (very odd) thread was set up so someone could recommend their removal company (the OP has de-registered or been booted off). Funny way to advertise your business isn't it?

someone else jumping on the band wagon.

[I've pressed the triangle].

this isn't the first thread started be someone seeking information which is then answered by someone else who has the ideal solution. one of them got very shirty with me when I questioned what they were up to.

that said, this one is a pretty inept attempt at advertising, if that's what it is.

If you want to get some additional info about various movers (beyond the valuable personal recs), go to http://www.themover.co.uk/uk-news , the trade magazine for the moving industry.

FWIW, Packimpex handled our move from Berkshire to Switzerland and they did an absolutely impeccable job, but I don't know if they do moves within the UK.
