HELP...Positano to Salerno...HOW?
We ahve train tix from Saleno to Rome next week, but something tells me the agent should have booked us for Napoli instead...he spoke no English, and I told him we were going to omefrom Positano, so we needed the closest station. Can we get there from POsitano???
If it is a SITA bus, which one, and how long a journey???

Take the ferry boat from Positano to Salerno. Check schedules at www.salernocity.com. Travel time is one hour. Fare is 6 Euros.
The SITA bus takes TWO HOURS (PLUS mandatory connection time in Amalfi).

If time is your consideration then take the bus to Sorrento and get the CV train to Naples and board your train there or as above take the SITA bus to Amalfi & change for the Salerno service.
Get a seat on the right to experience the great views.

Hi Katie,
Follow GAC's advice.
The SITA bus will take you from Positano to Amalfi (which is where the good views are) and then you change to the SITA bus to Salerno.
The ferry gives you a lovely ride from which you get to see the coast from the water.
The ferry docks about 2 blks SE of the train station.
