Help planning 6 day trip in July

We will be spending 6 days in Switzerland during the first week of July. We plan to stay in Wengen for most of the time. We can fly to/from Zurich or Geneva, or one each way. I was thinking about flying into Geneva and stopping in Montreaux for 1 night. Then continue to Wengen & stay for a few nights. Spend the last night or 2 in Luzerne before continuing to Zurich to fly out. I'm not sure if my stops are in the best order. Would it be best to go to Zermatt from Montreaux or go from Montreaux to Wengen and visit Zermatt from there? We plan to travel by train and want to experience the Golden Pass and Glacier Express routes, unless they are repetitive.
We would like to include in our itinerary, in addition to exploring the areas around Wengen:
Montreaux – Vevey
Zermatt
Jungfraujoch – Eiger & Top of Europe, Kleine Scheidegg using the Golden Pass Train.
Slot canyon of Trummelbach Falls, Staubbach Falls, & Mt. Schilthorn
Lake Luzerne boat ride
St. Moritz? (Is it worthwhile)
Please advise if this is a reasonable itinerary, what important stops I am missing, and the best way to accomplish it.
Thank you.

With only 6 days, your trip is, IMO, extremely ambitious and it gives you little flexibility if weather is not cooperative.

IMO, St. Moritz is an aging and unpleasant tourism trap. There are MUCH more beautiful and more interesting places in that area – although I’m not sure you have time for it.

If you haven’t already seen it, you might find some useful information in my trip report:

Hope that helps!

Last fall, we spent a couple of nights in Wengen, as part of a 3-country visit in 8 nights, and fortunately had perfect weather. That allowed us a full Alpine day that included several trains and many cable cars. But, for us, it was one of our best travel days ever. Everyone travels at a different pace. You might find the Wengen portion of our trip report helpful: 3 Countries, 8 Places, 8 Nights, Awesome!

Thank you. I have seen your post. Very nice but yours was a much longer trip than mine.

Neither Montreux nor Zermatt, Lucerne or St. Moritz are "around Wengen".
If you want to do day trips to these places, you will stay AT LEAST 6-7 hrs in trains.

6 days I'd do only Montreux - Wengen - Zurich - trains are great - for lots of info check www.sbb.ch; BETS-European Rail Experts and www.ricksteves.com. A Swiss Travel Pass or Half-Fare Card are good options to consider.

Indeed! But if you look, you'll see that I spent a little time -- close to what you will have -- in each of several regions of Switzerland, so you might be able to get an idea of what is possible with the time you have.
