Hi, my husband and I will be in Europe the first week of July. We have never been to the Italian/French Rivieras and would like to go there. We have 6 nights and would love someone to help us plan an itinerary. Thank you so much

Leenstra - The best of the Italian Riviera IMO are the Portofino peninsular area (Santa Margherita, Portofino, Camogli ...) and the Cinque Terre.

Santa Margherita Ligure would make an excellent base for this area for 2/3 days. From there you could easily day-trip to the Cinque Terre.

With 6 nites I would use 2 base locations for 3 nites each. My choices would be Menton in France---just across the border and near Monaco. For Italy, I agree with Steve that SML is hard to beat. I would book soon !
