Help needed...14 nights in Switzerland, France and Italy

In December I would spend more time in Italy than in northern Europe - hit Paris and then head south - weather is much warmer in Rome than in Paris usually though Paris is rarely very cold but Rome is nicer - less rain and warmer and days are longer since it is farther south.
