HELP! Mykonos in late September?

Hello! I am wanting some advice on visiting Mykonos in the last week of September/first week in October...

Is it too cold to enjoy the beach?

That is the big question! My wife loves the beach. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

It's a terrific time to visit the island. The summer crowds have left, the island is quieter and the sea will still be warm enough to swim in.

I've also been the first week of October and noticed a slight change in temperature which I am sure was caused by the rising winds that particular week. Although warm and good beach weather daytime, the evenings were much cooler and light jackets were needed.

Hi; Now that you know something about the weather, consider this hotel with a large pool and access to the 'beach'. Richard www.myk

WWW.MYKONOSGRAND.GR/ If you consider this hotel, make sure you get a 'sea view' room and not a garden view room. Richard

Yes, the Grand is a very good hotel located at Agios Ioannis only about 10 minutes by local bus from/to Mykonos town. This is a beautiful quiet part of the island with spectacular views and sunsets. There are two small tavernas on the beach and a full-service restaurant on the small road down to the little harbour there.

Another hotel worth checking out in this area is the Apollonia:
