It is a very silly answer. I'll give you another few clues:
It is a word, not a place.
I could have substituted "Rome" or "Messina" or "Stresa" or "Salerno" for Melfi.
It is about travel worries.
Use an Italian dictionary if you don't know Italian.

You'll be mad at me when I tell you, so it's better to guess.

I already guessed costipazione, but it's one too many letters.

cmt, you are ingenious! I was thinking along those lines (couldn't have been anything but the d-word) but to give it some European flair...bellimisimo!

OK, went to a Collins dictionary and got this:

stitichezza

11 letters! Right?

The answer is actually the OPPOSITE. All you have to do now is find the Italian word in the next 4 mi utes. Tick tock tick tock.. Otherwise, I will make another clue.

Ding ding ding. The answer was stitichezza. It is the Italian word for the opposite of Montezuma's revenge. (I told you it was silly.)

Now I'll make up a new one if you can stand it.

This new clue is based on the ANSWER to the first clue posted by cmt on this thread on 7/30 at 9:42 p.m. That clue was: Where the locals may say that Colapesce took his last spin. (7 letters, last letter was "r&quot The correct answer was given a few minutes after the clue was posted.

So...building on that answer, which you need to find if you don't remember it, the new clue is:
The one across the way was adored by WHOM in a past life? (7 letters, 5th is "c&quot

LVSue: Right! We posted at the same time, so I already posted a new question, thinking you'd all given up.

Sorry again! (no treadmill excuse this time). Well, I can't make it go through Glaucus, so I'll just have to tell you 6 letters and the 5th one is N

Next time I promise I'll be more alert.
