Help! Hiking in Brittany

I am planning on doing a 7-8 day hiking trip in Brittany in July. I can not find a good book or web-site on the French trail network. Any suggestions or helpful hints??

Here's a website I've got bookmarked for the Grandes Randonnées, though I'm not sure it's the only one or the official one.

http://www.gr-infos.com/index.html

If you do a websearch for Grandes Randonnées Bretagne you may unearth some better information. Also, once in France you can pickup the official GR maps at any bookstore, kiosk or maison de la presse, even supsermarkets sometimes.

Bartholomew walk guide:Walking in Brittany, there are detailed maps, routes descriptions and highlights of 30 walks in Brittany. I used this book and others to plan my 10 days walking trip in Brittany last March, I found it very helpful.

I forgot to mention: the tourist board of Brittany offer several 4-7 days self-guided walking trips with very good prices between April and October. The tours include B$B(or 2-3 star hotel),maps, passes for museums, and all other supports (including baggage transport). One tour even come with a donkey to carry things for you.

Thank you both for your help! i've since ordered a book called The Coastal Paths of Brittany. We are trying to decide what area of Brittany to focus on. Judy I read the report of your trip...sounds beautiful! You really got me excited to go. Where would you say was your preference: the northwest coast or the tip and southern coast?
Kristen:I am afraid I haven't walked on the northwest coast yet, I did the northeast and south coast. But, I plan to do the Pick Granite coast and Parish Enclose area next Spring. I don't have any preferance, because the scenary is different in each area, However, with 7-8 days, probably you could start from quimper as base for 3-4 days and walk along the south coast for the rest.
