Help for Honeymooners

Any nice but slightly funky hotel suggestions (that won't break the bank)for my fiance and I? We'll be traveling in Sept. 2002 and which bank do you recommend - East or West? Thanks!

Paris no doubt since she posted it under France (and we can't easily tell that, by the way - - only if someone selects France as a subset of the forum is that evident).

But Heather, please confirm this.

And the correct terms are normally Right Bank or Left Bank (think about paddling down the Seine). The river arcs through the city, and neither is east nor west. Vaguely north and south.

Best wishes,

Rex
Left Bank no doubt about. My wife and I spent our Honeymoon in Paris in Sept. Last year. Yes, we landed on Sept 11 and still had a marvelous time. The right bank is nice, but way too commercialized for a Honeymoon. Not sure what your budget is but we got airfare and hotel for a week for about 2500.00. If you want really wild stay near Montmartre (right Bank). That's where Moulin Rouge is patterned after.

You couldn't have picked a better time of year to go. I have been there several times. Maybe we'll see you there. We are actually going back again in Sept. Congratulations, I am very happy for you.
Feel free to e mail me.
