help!! brotherleelove!!!!!!

I am having some trouble ordering my ferry ticket for aug 24 and bluestar has not been helpful at all. I'd like to pre order our tickets, but I need to know where we would pick them up. Also, most importantly, can you please please explain to me the difference in seating classes (ie where do you sit, where can you go, can you go outside ,etc). It's only a 2 hour trip but we'd like to be able to get outside for pictures and to enjoy the sea breeze! Thank you thank you!!!!

The least expensive Blue Star tickets are the Economy (deck class) tickets. With this ticket you are free to find a seat anywhere on the decks and inside where other economy passengers are allowed. Food from snack bars is available, although it's expensive, it's best to bring something with you. There are also aircraft-style seats in areas designated for Blue Star's Economy passengers who pay a few more euro for the comfort. This type of seating may vary from ship to ship in their fleet depending on your destination, which you did not mention.

There is also business class which has its own lounge and dining areas. Then there are cabins, but you don't need one of those for a 2-hour trip.

With any class ticket you are free to wander around the decks. It will become apparent how this works once you're on board.

You can pick up your tickets at the port. I'm assuming you're starting this ferry journey in Piraeus. In August I suggest you be there an hour before departure if you don't have your ticket in hand. You can also pick them up in ticket offices in Athens or at the airport at the Amphitrion Holidays travel office in the Main Hall.

Thank you so much--but when I originally emailed bluestar, they came back and told me that the 3 classes were economy for 15.50 euro, air seats for 17.50 , and 1st class for 23.50--are those the same as the 3 classes (economy, ecomony with better seats, and business)? I'm trying to decide the best choice for us---we are traveling from Naxos to Santorini, so it's only a 2 hour trip. Thanks!!!

Yes, I'm guessing "Business"="First" Class. It was me mislabeling it "Business."

Don't throw your money away on First Class. The aircraft seats are quite comfortable if you don't want to sit at the tables and chairs spread around the Economy areas. Two hours will go by very quickly.

From your other posts it seems you are booking a ferry from Naxos to Santorini. You will want to be on the outside deck when approaching Santorini, and for that an economy class ticket will be fine.

Go ahead and pre-book if it puts your mind at ease (after all it is your honeymoon, and you don't want anything to go wrong). But if you are having difficulty booking tickets, you should be able to get them when you arrive in Greece. Blue Star ferries hold over 1,400 passengers, and it is unlikely it will be full on the Naxos-Santorini segment, even on Aug 24th.
