I am planning my honeymoon at the end of April. We want to travel to Rome-Milan-Paris. I am overwhenlmed by all the travel info and need some solid advice. We are partial to B&B type places, something small and romantic. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It would be useful if you put something other than just "help" in the title of your post. Everyone on this board is posting to get help. Mentioning the places you want to visit would probably attract more responses.

Do you mean that you want the entire trip to consist of stays in three big cities, or did you possibly mean something else?

We are looking for info on places to stay, travel, websites to cut through the tonage of info. Being a History teacher I plan to explore as much of Rome as possible, My wife to be is a great fan of DaVinci and would like to visit as much of his works as possible also. As far as a budget, we are working that out. I know this gives little info to base any advice on and as our plans develop I will post more. This trip plan so far is in its infancy.

Small steps make planning less overwhelming in my experience.

I suggest first book an 'open jaw' ticket flying into Rome and out of Paris. Then research places to stay using a good map for each city, picking central locations, then looking for something in your price range in that area. Make reservations 3 places.

Honestly, that's all I do before a trip. You can travel between the cities by train with tickets purchased from a local travel agent or at the train station a few days before each journey (it's only two legs so I don't see this as a problem or inconvenience).

Make sure your passport is current, get your money stuff together, pack a small suitcase. That's really all you need to do.

Do you have strong feelings about the Milan piece of the trip? There's been a bit of discussion here,and most people feel that a day or two is plenty here,but most people LOVE Florence and/or Venice.I would consider Rome/Florence/Paris or Rome/Venice/Paris.
