Hello everyone!
I'm so wired - it's late, raining and cold, and I'm so glad this site (Fodors) exists. It moves me beyond where I am this minute. I appreciate everyone, every question and anyone who responds. I'd be in the looney bin if it wasn't for Fodors - or maybe I'd be in some small town in Umbria - or the Marches. Just want to to say thanks all for your thoughts and inspirations. Good night.

"How cold has it been ?
Well, you know I'm from Boston, up in New England. We have cold weather there.
Riyo: And how cold is that ?
Well, Riyo, at zero degrees F people in Miami die - or go back to Cuba. New Englanders start wearing long sleeve shirts and close their windows.
At 25 below zero, Hollywood disintegrates, but in New England Girl Scouts sell cookies door to door.
At 40 below Washington DC runs out of hot air, but New Englanders let their dogs sleep inside.
At 275 below zero - absolute zero on the Kelvin scale ? all atomic motion stops. New Englanders start saying, "Cold enough for ya?"
And at 500 below zero, Hell freezes over. In New England, the Red Sox win the World Series."

Its suppose to get up in the 30s here in mid-Michigan today and near 50 by Sunday. Sure is nice after the long spell of single digit temps.
And Babette, I'd take the cold and rainy day in southern France any time, just to be there rather than here.
Hang in there, Fodorites, spring is on the way!
