Has anyone experienced any problems pre-booking a car service from the airport? And am I understanding the Heathrow Express runs about 15 pounds per person? We are going from Heathrow to Grovenor House Hotel,appreciate any imput.

Several good car services - justairports.com is one of the best and very reasonable.

The HEX is more than £15 (£18 in advance and £19 at the airport) and makes no sense for getting to the Grosvenor House.

The public transport option is the Piccadilly Line underground direct from Heathrow to Hyde Park Corner and walk up Park Lane: but getting the right exit at Hyde Park Corner and/or getting your luggage up and down staircases through the pedestrian tunnels to the street doesn't quite fit with staying at the Grosvenor House!

Tube to Hyde Park Corner then taxi from there.

We too recommend Justairports , no fuss no bother and cheaper than the HEX and a taxi to your hotel!

Well i would like to recommend Premier airportcars service. I booked the car from the same when i last visited in London and they are well on time in picking and dropping me.

In distinction from nearly every other Fodorite, I had bad service from Just Airports on three consecutive arrivals at LHR. They were very late twice, and once, despite my having my confirmation in hand, claimed they had no booking for me.

OTOH, I have had very good service with exclusiveairports.
