Sorry, if it wasn't clear above, the delays to Heathrow on the Piccadilly line impact weekend travel.

UKUKUK, I couldn't agree more about what you say regarding the Heathrow Express. It might be good for a single person traveling alone. Otherwise I just have never "gotten" it. People who rave about the time saved don't take into account the usual wait of 15 minutes to get one (yes, like you I always walk up as one is departing) nor do they count the time standing in line to get a taxi or walking a mile and waiting for an underground train. And the time they spend within the city in the taxi getting to their hotel is usually half of the total time of the private car coming all the way from Heathrow. And as soon as you buy two Express tickets and pay for a taxi to a realatively near hotel, you've already spent as much as a private car would be -- and never have to deal with transfering your luggage.

Re: UKUKUK

If you could afford to stay at the Ritz, you would take a Taxi or have them organise a chauffeur for you, otherwise you'd be the first person ever to arrive on the tube!

I seriously doubt that, m_kingdom. Many people like fine hotels but don't mind taking public transportation to get to them. I find it hard to believe there haven't been hundreds of Ritz guests who have arrived via the tube!!
