Have updated itinerary - ideas?

Hi all -

Based on your feedback, I have updated our itinerary. thank you! Here's what we have now...

Day 1 - Arrive in Paris and take train to Bayeux
Day 2 - Bayeux / Normandy - Band of Brothers Tour
Day 3 - To Bruges
Day 4 - Bruges - day trip to Ghent?
Day 5 - Bruges
Day 6 - To Amsterdam
Day 7 - Amsterdam - day trip to see flower fields or Haarlem
Day 8 - Amsterdam
Day 9 - ???
Day 10 - ???
DAy 11 - To Paris
Day 12- Paris
Day 13 - Paris
Day 14 - Leave from Paris in the afternoon (sigh)

As you see, I have two days with ???

My hubby doesn't want to spend any more time in Paris then what we already are. Where should we go between Amsterdam and Paris? Am looking for ideas of places to go to stay for two nights without having to be on the train a ton. We love walkable towns, good food, and shopping. I thought about Dijon, Reims, just not sure.

thanks!!!

Why not spend the extra nights in Bayeux? Only one day there is really giving the area short shrift.

We are doing a one day Band of Brothers tour in Normandy. Without a car, what other suggestions would you make for that area?

I'd take a taxi or train to Caen and visit the Mémorial museum - we spent 4 hours there without even realizing that much time had passed.

I'd visit the Bayeux tapestry and walk around Bayeux, a lovely little town.

I agree with StCirq that you could use more time in Caen and Bayeux to see the museum and tapestry. Or you could stay in Paris one night on arrival rather than taking the train right away to Bayeux.
