Has anyone rented from Carjet in Spain
Looking for car rental in Seville for 5 days. Has anyone used carjet.co.uk?
Their price is soooo much cheaper than autoeurope or kemwell etc.
Do you have to prepay or something when you make the reservation? How could they be so much less expensive?
Any input would be great.

Just carjet in Portugal. I am assuming they would be similar. They placed us with Budget. We did not have to prepay.
No problem with them what so ever. Also, a friend rented from them in Portugal quite often. Never any problem.

Mary_ellen we must be on the same page I just saw them on an oldpost & was wondering the same thing (only out of Malaga)
I am in USA though and I thought they had actual offices, or are they just go-betweens?

While Carjet themselves are a long established, reputable broker based in Spain and UK, how your booking turns out to be is entirely in the hands of the local rental firms they are contracted to. They tend to use smaller local outlets like Olimpia, Record etc in Southern Spain, and people's experience with then have been mixed. While in theory Carjet can help you out in case of trouble, in reality you are very much dependent on the helpfulness or otherwise of the local firms, and crucially you are bound by the contractual terms agreed with local operator when you signed on the dotted line.

We got a rate of $35 a day last fall from Carjet in Seville. I thought I reserved it but I didn't give them my credit card so when I got there I had to pay the walkup rate of $85 a day. Carjet is worth it, just make sure to reserve it ahead of time. Now can anyone tell me why they quoted me $200 a day last month in San Sebastian as the cheapest rate?
