Happy 40th, Nutella

I happened to see this while researching a future trip. Given the amount of Nutella discussion on this board in the past, I can't believe that we managed to miss this most auspicious date.

Every trip to Europe I bring back a couple jars. Further proof the Europeans know more than us!

It all started at the Hotel Flora in Frascati. It was my first breakfast in Italy. A brioche and Nutella. It was love at first bite.

I just know the fact that when 15 years ago there was no Nutella in the States, my parents brought some jars when visiting my mother's cousin who's living there and before they knew, her son had emptied half a jar with a spoon
And in Italian pizzeria's they sometimes serve pizza though with Nutella for dessert!

Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Nutella, happy birthday to you.....and many more!

During my student year in Florence, although I skipped many a meal, I usually had a small jar of Nutella and some crackers squirreled away in my little room to stave off hunger pangs. I stilled managed to lose 25 lbs. that year, though!
