Going to be in Florence 3 days. Am looking at having guide for 1-2 full day to visit the city attractions, and maybe have a driver and guide to take us out of the city to see some wineries. Or maybe we need 2 full days in Florence ? Any recommendations on guides or companies to help us see the sites?

You could easily spend all three days in Florence, lots to see there. Not sure you need a guide; central Florence is fairly compact. With a little research, you can easily do it on your own.

For a driver to go outside Florence, www.hillsandroads.com is excellent. I have used them several times. If you know where you want to go, they can tell you if it's feasible. If you're not sure, you can tell them what you're interested in and they will suggest an itinerary.

There are other tour companies that do day trips. Accidental Tourist is one. I haven't used them personally but have read good things about them.

I spent a week in Florence last year (with a day trip to a winery) and didn't come close to getting tired of it. It's a great base for daytrips to Lucca, Bologna, etc and is a wonderful city for walking about and absorbing its beauty. Two days is a tease, imho.

Get a rental electric golf cart and get 1hr tour with recorded guide that explain the main sightseeing....if you pay a little extra they take you up to Michelangelo square so you can get a great view of the city (it's fantastic at the sunset). This will give you a glimpse of the city but on the good side you save much time that you can eventually spend in museums, and taste some great gelatos.
To go outside for visiting a winery the best thing is to find a local friend that takes you there...is gonna be always cheaper than a popup random tour agency that overcharge for nothing special.

It just seems a crazy way to go unless you are physically unable to access stuff, it makes climbing the tower a joke etc etc, certainly out side the very centre you cannot use them on most pavements. Italy is often lacking in good access for wheel chairs but using a golf buggy!

And I think it's unlikely that the OP has a local friend in Florence to take them outside the city.

Florence is compact, you can walk all over it on your own to sight-see.
For a great wine tour: Grape Tours, we did their Super Chianti one in November, it was fantastic, a highlight of it was the lunch we had in Panzano at Dario Ceccheni's restaurant.
