AyQuehago - Welcome from me as well!
You will have a lovely evening - is the 17th your actual 28th birthday?

No actually I already turned 28 (march 29th) so my trip is a little later than my birthday, but it's close enough....plus last time I went to Europe it was mid march (my yearly birthday gift to myself LOL) and really cold so I'm looking forward to milder temperatures this time around. Looking forward to meeting you all! Question, is it all couples or a mix?

It's a mix of singles and couples I would think. The first time I met ggnga & Travgina /then Jazzyred & g33kgrl on another night, we were an all girl dinner and I was in Paris for 2 weeks on my own.
This time I am travelling with my husband.
Everyone I've met has been really nice and friendly.

Hello all, I spoke with Madame at L'Insulaire. She is very pleased. I can call her just the morning of or before GTG and tell her the number. M is working of course so I will be alone.

Look forward to great GTG.

My husband and I will be in Paris on May 17th and would be very interested in joining the GTG. This is our first trip to France and we would like to meet other Fodorites. Please let us know if there's room for two more.

Will there be any teens or younger kids there? My daughter and I will be in Paris during this time (she's 17). Since it's not until 8:30, we may be able to make it after our concert.

Hello to all, Sorry for delay but wifi problem this week.

I think I am counting 10 if we all come. I hope to see all and more.

I think a 17 year old girl will be very comfortable with us. Please come with your daughter.

Madame speaks english well. Ask for Fodors group or for me, Glenda. I have red curly hair, middle age. I will probably change my mind about what to wear 10 times so I cannot tell you this.

Much fun is in store for tomorrow!!

bye for now

I had an excellent time at this get together. Thank you Dot for the beautiful bookmark, and thank you glenda for organizing this. I did end up going to Barrio Latino but only one sunday during the day and it was a good place.

Hope to meet again!

Hi tod and AyQuehago and all,

Sorry to be so long posting. I had a wonderful time everyone. Love the book, thanks so much. Glad you got to Barrio Latino, I think of you each time I pass.

I finally broke down and got tv with some english channels, internet and telephone with free USA. I was waiting to get hooked up to email again.

Then....I got a JOB! I am a nanny to a sweet 7 month old with New York Mom and French Popa. Lovely family. Only part time but all I want for now. I get to use all my Grammy skills, the RN skills are secondary.

Let us hear from you tod when you get settled home.

All the best.

Hey gg, I hear you all had a nice GTG. As I told Tod, I was thinking of you that evening, wishing I was there of course.

Did I hear correctly, that you just spent a week in Ireland? Would love to hear where you went because my first trip across the pond was to Ireland for a friend's niece's wedding.

Congrats on your new job! I think that ensures that you'll be there when we come in September; am I right? We'll have to see who else will be in Paris the last week in September so we can get another GTG planned.
