I lived nearby in Naples for 3 years, and we went to Amalfi regularly. Never heard much about the emerald grotto though...I vote for Blue Grotto on Capri. The "gondolier" takes you in for about 5-10 minutes. I heard it's wonderful in summer to go stay on Capri, and wait til the boats are done with tours, and swim in there before sunset. Keep your head down at the entrance!
BTW -it's also fun to ride the ski-lift to the top of the isle.<BR>
